NOTE: We
no longer, at least for now offer or recommend BRI or single line ISDN even though
it works great if YOUR town worked.
In
general, not all telephone companies know what is what, how or are interested
in supporting BRI. We tried to no avail, some towns could, or said they can, at
the end, we needed to refunded software systems.. and a knew nothing!
It's
been a time consuming pain in the rear!
Now,
PRI is a different thing.. Those corpoarate more expensive system use PRI.
We
want the opportunity to discuss this with you and explain in more detail or options.
Again...
its always about the 'FORWARDED Phone#'

Some
ISDN Basics
ISDN, it's nice, has some great advantages but... BEWARE from our many
many years of offering ISDN. Your phone company is your worst nightmare getting
the ISDN line correctly provision. There's about a 50/50 chance that ISDN will
work for you. Often your phone company business office is from another state,
they will tell you one thing or yes that you can get ISDN.. and then after months
of waiting and your ISDN line is finally installed, then we experience that the
ISDN phones partially works. Problems like line 1 is not on the same line as the
second phone or our software identifying calls fails with improper data identifying
called number or the call appearances are not correct amongst other problems.
Not all teleco's are the same!. So what are you to do? Now that we've wasted yours
and ours valuable time, ask for refunds, start over, return your ISDN telephones
to your supplier? Most answering services use DID numbers, alittle more expensive
and is of the normal way doing things. WE ARE NOW SUGGESTING
LOOKING AT VOIP providers..
Who
knows what? You don't until you go there! We know one of our fine ISDN -TAS software
competitors that offer BRI -ISDN only works the southern states because they have
telephone personal contacts who know if the ISDN BRI will work or not in that
area, how to get the line configured correctly, not wasting their clients time,
and thus have a better success rate from the beginning

MASTAR
has been supporting a wide variety of DID configurations for more that 18 years,
and we will continue to support this equipment. If you already have DID identification
answer service equipment, you do not need to change your hardware. Our
LineMON software will support all the previous Caller-ID
options that our older DOS version did.
